Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how LockerThing handles information when you use the LockerThing iOS app. LockerThing is designed to work without an account, advertising, analytics, or cloud storage.

Camera use and on-device text recognition

LockerThing requests access to your camera for optical character recognition (OCR) — reading the digits of a locker number during a deliberate hold. The camera is used for nothing else. Recognition is performed on your device. The app does not show a camera preview, take a photograph, save a camera frame, add an image to your photo library, or transmit camera data to us or to a third party.

Information stored on your device

LockerThing stores the locker number, the time you began using the locker, and the expiration time locally so the app, widgets, and Live Activity can show the correct record. If you choose to add a locker combination, it is stored separately in the iOS Keychain and can require Face ID or your device passcode before it is revealed.

You can clear a current record manually or choose an expiration time for automatic removal.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information through the app. LockerThing has no user accounts, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking technologies. The app does not send your locker number or locker combination to us.

Sharing and sale

Because LockerThing does not collect your information, we do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

Children's privacy

LockerThing is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app has no accounts and sends nothing to us, so using it does not give us information about anyone, of any age. If you believe a child has sent us personal information outside the app—for example, in a support email—please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

LockerThing uses Apple platform protections, including iOS Keychain and device authentication, for an optional locker combination. No method of storage is guaranteed to be completely secure, but the app minimizes risk by keeping data local and collecting nothing remotely.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if LockerThing's features or legal obligations change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is posted.
